Beatles Mania Hits Japan with Digitally Remastered CDs
Over 40 years after The Beatles performed their first concert in Japan, the legendary band re-invaded the land of the rising sun this week with digitally remastered CDs. Fans all around the country rushed to music shops to purchase the 14-CD boxed sets that cost about $350 US. At major shopping districts like Tokyo’s luxurious Ginza district, almost 150 people gathered to commemorate the event to mark the worldwide release of the albums at around Tuesday midnight.
