Photos: Halloween at Tokyo Disneyland

If you didn’t know already, Japan specializes in commercializing North American holidays! Trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins, eating a pumpkin pie or costuming up on the 31st isn’t common in Japan, but go to Tokyo Disneyland and you’ll be convinced they’ve been doing it for years. Tokyo’s other Disney park catering to a older crowd, Disney Sea, launched their first Halloween celebration with a masquerade theme!

Tokyo Disneyland Popcorn - 1400 yen - comes in interesting flavours like Curry and Soy Butter
Seasonal Special: the Haunted Mansion ride completely transforms into Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas theme. This is a must-see, since the transformation is so cute! If you are in the area, check it out -runs until end of the Christmas season.
Entrance to Toontown.
The parade is fun, but what was just as entertaining was the pre-parade clean crew. Disney policy is to have absolutely no garbage on the ground - these guys really take that rule to heart rhythmically.

Found a Cinderella! Totally cute Japanese girl I just had to stop to ask for a picture. She looks airbrushed in real life too. . .and I'm assuming she dolls up and dresses like this daily

Even my grape-mousse dessert came themed -- BOO chocolate.

Me with some hyper highschool girls in their school uniforms at Disneyland. Autumn is when many schools, especially in the countryside/city outskirts of Japan, take class vacations.

Mickey-O-Lantern Balloons

I managed to snap girls in Loose Socks. . .didn't those socks disappear five years ago?

Disney villain-themed parade.

Ghostly Disney Characters are all over the park for fun photo ops!

My lame attempt at an artistic photo. . .do you get it? It's inspired by Sleeping Beauty pricking her finger.
Have a Happy Halloween Everyone!

I love Tokyo Disneyland…..especially the super trendy Japanese girls out in full force! They really dress to the nines in their cutest outfits! I love the cinderella you found…I always wonder how I can get my hair that blonde! Perhaps some high-tech Japanese dye….or maybe it’s a wig!?

Looks like your’re really having fun :)).
My wife and I used to visit Disney World at least twice a year, unfortunately all that now has to be put on hold till I find a job. At any Disney park you can feel like a kid, and put all your cares and woes on hold, while you live out your fantasies. Hope ole Walt is happy that he is able to bring Happy Smiles to people all over the world:)
